Stuart Galise

​Stuart is our Lead Bath Physiotherapist.  He trained at King’s College London and graduated in 1999, he worked within the NHS for 5 years before moving in to private practice. Stuart has  worked with London Welsh RFC and with many elite and aspiring elite athletes and sportsmen and women over the last 20 years. Stuart is also our Biomechanics Specialist and undertakes our Gait Analysis for the provision of Orthotics / Inserts and undertakes our running analysis service for those looking  to maximise their potential and reduce the chances of injury. Stuart is a lecturer on our Post Graduate Course programmes and works within all our Bath Physiotherapy clinics at selected times. 

Matt Shepherd

Matt is our Clinical Specialist Bath Physiotherapist. He graduated from Huddersfield University in 2002 and worked for 2 years within local NHS Hospitals before specialising into sports and private practice. Working at a number of professional sports clubs, private clinics and hospitals has provided him with over 20 years of invaluable experience in treating a range of clients from elite athletes to the weekend golfer striving to recover from a knee operation. With extensive post graduate training in Manual therapy, acupuncture, taping and rehabilitation he has acquired the skills to manage even the most complex presentations with expertise.  Matt has also completed a Diploma in Injection Therapy which enables him to carry out pain relieving joint injections.  He currently divides his time between our busy Bath Physiotherapy clinics and working as an extended scope practitioner carrying out Orthopaedic Clinics with Consultants at a Local Private Hospital.  Alongside Stuart he is also a lecturer on our Post Graduate Course programmes. ​

Darcey Scott

Darcey graduated from the University of Birmingham with a first-class degree in Physiotherapy. She has also completed a Level 3 Diploma in Sports Massage through Pro Active London.
While Darcey enjoys treating a diverse range of musculoskeletal conditions, she brings a wealth of sport-specific experience to her role, with prior involvement in treating high-performance athletes competing in the National Performance Netball League.  She currently divides her time between her Physioimpulse clinics and Cardiff Dragons Netball Team. 
Darcey has provided therapy to varied clientele, including Olympians, former England rugby players, and GB rugby sevens athletes. Expanding her horizons internationally, she has also spent time working in St Lucia, supporting their national rugby team, both in clinic and on the field as part of an international tournament.
In addition to her role at Physio Impulse, Darcey continues to be actively involved in supporting local sports teams, contributing expertise in emergency first aid, rehabilitation, and injury prevention. Darcey's ongoing engagement with sports teams ensures that she stays current with the latest evidence-based practices within the field. In close collaboration with her patients, she aims to create a proactive and individualised plan that enhances overall well-being and minimizes the potential for future setbacks.

Bryony Matthews

Bryony Matthews  found her passion for chiropractic whilst seeking treatment for her chronic migraines. After learning about the possible benefits of chiropractic care as a patient herself and searching for a career in healthcare, she decided to pursue Chiropractic. Bryony has since completed her master’s degree in Chiropractic, achieving a first at the University of South Wales. Bryony has gained further qualifications in shockwave therapy, in addition to a diploma in dry needling.

Bryony finds reward in being able to provide all of her patients with bespoke treatment plans to allow individuals to achieve their unique health goals. She strives to make chiropractic care accessible to all, by adapting her approach and treatment methods to be effective for the unique individual in her care. She also prides herself as a clinician who ensures that any treatment approaches align with the preferences of her patients. Bryony has a keen interest in helping individuals manage headache and migraine symptoms, largely because of her previous personal experiences with headaches and migraines.

 Bryony is registered with the General Chiropractic Council and works at our Miles Buildings and Phase one clinics.

Renu Khosla

Renu originally studied BSc (Hons) Human Biology at Leeds Metropolitan University prior to qualifying with an MSc Physiotherapy degree from Northumbria University, Newcastle in 2006. She completed her junior rotations at Salisbury Hospital before working in elderly and neurological domiciliary care, and then in 2009 she specialised in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. In 2021, Renu graduated from Cardiff University with a Masters in Sport and Exercise Physiotherapy. 
Renu has specialist interests in clinical pilates (mat work and reformer) including pre- and post-natal clients; soft tissue mobilisation including myofascial release; acupuncture; and sports injury prevention and management.
Renu has completed her pilates training with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates institute and has been teaching since 2009. She enjoys treating all musculoskeletal problems from neck pain to sporting injuries, and strives to enable her clients to achieve their functional or sporting goals. Renu excels in the rehabilitation of people with long-standing back pain using a combination of manual therapies and exercise. She believes in empowering people by having a greater understanding of their condition and how to take control of their symptoms.

Jasper Clarke

Jasper is a structural and rehab Osteopath with a Masters degree in Osteopathy and postgraduate training in neuro rehabilitation, human biomechanics and movement therapies, Jasper uses up to date evidence, backed by medical guidelines, to inform his treatments and make sure his patients make an optimal recovery from injury. He uses a range of techniques such as sports massage, taping, fascial release, passive and active articulations and manipulations alongside functional movement and breathing techniques to help support the healing process. 
Jasper is especially interested in sports injuries and their prevention and has a particular interest in the biomechanics of adventure sports. Previously working as an associate at The Climbers Clinic based in the Castle Climbing Center he has experience of working with a wide range of climbing and cycling related injuries from minor sprains to post surgery rehab. He has over 30 years of cycling experience (from racing BMX to road cycling in the Pyrenees) and still loves everything two wheels. Away from bikes he enjoys an active lifestyle including surfing, climbing and running.  Jasper works at our Bath clinics and also leads the Bike Fit service

Ellya Crosby

Ellya graduated with a Bsc (Hons) physiotherapy degree from the University of Winchester and also completed a Sports Massage Diploma from Pro Active in London. She currently works as a physiotherapist in a local NHS hospital by day, offering physiotherapy and sports massage privately in the evenings at Physioimpulse.

Alongside musculoskeletal physiotherapy Ellya also provides specialist neuro physiotherapy having  honed her skills treating a wide range of neurological conditions in both NHS and private clinics. She has worked across stroke rehabilitation wards, Parkinson’s clinics, and outpatient clinics providing skilled care in spasticity management, posture management and gait re-education for adults and children. She is passionate about working with people with neurological conditions and helping them to maximise their potential.

Having been a ballet dancer for 17 years she understands the importance of injury prevention and effective rehabilitation. Ellya incorporates a diverse range of techniques, including myofascial release, soft-tissue release, and Muscle Energy Techniques, into her sessions. This allows her to address pain and stiffness effectively, all while personalising treatments to align with each individual’s specific goals. In addition to her therapeutic expertise.

Jo Galise
Practice and Communications Manager and Post Graduate Course Coordinator

​Jo has a background in the Media Industry where she worked within the Publishing sector at a senior level for many years. Jo has been Practice and Communications Manager since 2008. She is very active and enjoys cross training and running on a regular basis.
Jo is also the point of contact for our Post Graduate Education Programme.
