What is Cancer RehabilitationHistorically, patients going through their treatment were advised to rest and to avoid or do very minimal exercise. However, there is now a considerable amount of evidence to support patients to safely exercise before, during and after their treatment. Exercise is now being viewed by many as the fourth line of cancer treatment (http://theconversation.com/every-cancer-patient-should-be-prescribed-exercise-medicine-95440). Cancer Rehab helps to manage and reduce many of the side effects of treatment, regardless of the cancer type and stage. It is effective whether the cancer is curative or palliative. |
